Thread Milling Deep Holes

Thread milling deep holes with T-TECH multi-fluted solid carbide cutters, is an ideal choice for both soft and demanding materials. The process eliminates swarf crowding which often results in ripped threads and broken taps. Excellent surface texture and finish is achievable.

Unlike tapping you control the speed, feed and cut, keeping the cutter in one piece.

We will advise on your application, providing programming assistance where required.

T-TECH deep hole cutters offer less resistance, producing lower cutting forces. This allows deeper threads to be produced before push-off occurs.

Cutters are manufactured in sub-micro grain, 10%Co carbide. Surface coatings available.

Standard range deep hole thread milling cutters offer the following: -

Small to large sizes from 3mm and No6UNC
Standard range has a reach of three times diameter
Reach up to 100mm for our largest 32mm diameter solid runover cutter
Metric (coarse and fine), 2mm & 3mm constant series
Unified (UNC & UNF), 8UN & 12UN constant series

Special deep hole thread milling cutters in short delivery times

Quick deliveries, typically 5 days
Extra reach above 3 x d available where achievable
